The Autocrat’s Gala

  • Outline Complete
  • First Mechanics Pass Completed

For the last couple weeks, the updates have been fairly self-evident. Still, if you’re interested in seeing what all has been coming out, there will be links below the fold! But more importantly, I have two very important announcements!

First, thanks to the success of the first season of the Tales of Efficiantum, there will be a second. Outlining has begun now, with an eye to begin writing this week.

Second, I can now reveal Phase 2 to be a small (5-20 player) LARP called the Autocrat’s Gala. Interested? Read more below!

The Autocrat’s Gala is a parlor LARP where the characters take on the roles of Autocrats, Luminaries, and Cogs, at a prestigious party in one of the spires. While the Cogs plot in the wings and the Luminaries mingle and exchange barbs and secrets, the Autocrats are locked into a game of Agents, seeking to see through their Corps through the dangers of the city. While the other players will be free to mingle, the Autocrats will need to keep their attention on a little board game, lest they lose advantage in the city.

The results of the official Autocrat’s Gala games will have an impact on the ongoing storyline of the Tales of Efficiantum. But it will also be packaged so that you can run your own games out of the comfort of your own home!

The Autocrat’s Gala will make its debut at the Metatopia convention in Morristown, New Jersey. Depending on the results there, the first official game may take place as early as Dreamation at the same location! More information will be posted as it becomes available.
